FLY-IN PROGRAM
Live outside of Chicago but are considering Dr. Horn for your life-changing cosmetic surgery? No problem! Lakeshore Plastic Surgery regularly treats patients from across the nation and around the world. We have curated a seamless “fly-in” patient protocol that makes it easy to manage your surgical journey regardless of where you live. Our practice is conveniently located near both Chicago O’Hare and Midway International Airport. This makes it easy for you, your friends, and family to fly in and out for your surgery.
Traveling solo? We have you covered! Your care plan ensures uncompromised quality care from your consultation to your pre-op appointment, surgery, and through your recovery process. Loved ones are welcome at any time, but your experience is tailored to your unique needs. Your health, safety, and aesthetic objectives are our top priority.
Return home from your surgery revitalized!
Plastic surgery is a major decision, so we understand if you prefer to meet with Dr. Horn and our surgical staff before you schedule your surgery. Click here to book your fly-in consultation.
If you prefer, we can schedule a high-tech virtual consultation from anywhere in the world. Dr. Horn will review your medical history and aesthetic objectives and present you with your full range of options. Your remote consultation is as thorough as an in-person consultation, providing you with the peace of mind that your surgery is personalized to your individual needs. Click here to schedule your virtual consultation. After your in-person or virtual consultation, Dr. Horn will further evaluate your case. If you are a good candidate for surgery, a Patient Coordinator will reach out to walk you through the next steps. This includes all surgical and post-op expenses, preparing for your surgery, post-op care, financial terms, and more.
Set the date! If you select Michael Horn Plastic Surgery and Med Spa for your transformational procedure, the next step is scheduling your pre-op consultation.
We can schedule your in-person consultation with Dr. Horn the day before your surgery or a few days before so that you have time to explore Chicago. Your pre-op consultation will take between 1 and 1.5 hours. During this appointment, we will complete a thorough physical evaluation, reconfirm your aesthetic objectives, and review your pre- and post-op instructions. This is also when you will review and sign your surgical consent forms.
Your pre-op appointment is conducted in our downtown office, but your surgery will be performed at River North Same Day Surgery. Our surgical coordinator will answer all of your questions and ensure that you are fully prepared for your procedures.
Your recovery process is as vital to your results as the surgery itself! You will need to stay in Chicago for an average of 3 to 7 days after your cosmetic surgery, and you will require assistance with your post-op care. Your healing process may take longer, but the first few days are vital to ensuring your recovery is progressing as intended. If traveling by yourself, you can arrange to stay at the Warren Barr Gold Coast transitional care center after your surgery. This luxurious facility provides 24-hour nursing care and offers the amenities of a 5-star hotel. You can also arrange a private nurse at your location of choice; however, we require that a loved one remains with you to assist with your post-op aftercare. We will schedule one or more in-office follow-up visits over the next 3 to 7 days. These in-person visits ensure that you are healing as intended before you return home. After you return home, we will perform your remaining post-op appointments virtually. Dr. Horn and one of our nurses are accessible for both scheduled and unscheduled follow-ups. Reach out any time a concern arises.
We understand that traveling for your surgery can feel overwhelming, which is why we have perfected our fly-in protocol. Rest assured that your health, safety, and aesthetic objectives are always our top priority—and that our fly-in quality of care is as exemplary as it is for our patients who live locally. If you would like to learn more about scheduling your plastic surgery in Chicago with Dr. Michael Horn, click here to request a consultation online or call us directly at (312) 202-9000 to speak with a member of our team. You’ll return home from your Chicago “vacation” looking years younger!
