What is Avéli?

Cellulite is caused by very small connective tissues underneath the skin called septa bands that become taught and pull on the surface creating small, characteristic dimples.

Because the root cause of cellulite is beneath the skin, the only way to see real improvement is to address cellulite by correcting these tight, fibrous tissues. Avéli Cellulite Treatment works by using a specialized tool to go just below the surface and sever the bands to release the tension and eliminate the cellulite.

Avéli Cellulite Treatment Candidates

Most of our Chicago Avéli Cellulite Treatment candidates have cellulite in areas like the hips, thighs, or buttocks and would like a highly effective and proven treatment method.

Meeting with one of our aesthetic medical professionals for a consultation is the best way to determine if you are an ideal candidate for the procedure. Those with too much skin laxity or subcutaneous fat in the treatment may not be good candidates. Women who are pregnant, breastfeeding, or patients with uncontrolled chronic illnesses should avoid this procedure.

Your Avéli Cellulite Treatment Consultation and Preparation

At your consultation, your provider will create a custom treatment plan based on your aesthetic goals and the extent of cellulite in the treatment area. Preparation for Avéli is minimal but may include modification of some medications and supplements.

The Avéli Cellulite Treatment Procedure

The procedure starts with cleansing the treatment area and marking the targeted cellulite dimples as a guide.

Local anesthesia is then administered to ensure comfort, and then tiny, precise incisions are made. Next, the Avéli tool is inserted beneath the skin, and the device is carefully maneuvered to release the septa bands responsible for creating cellulite. The entire process usually takes about an hour, depending on the size and scope of the treatment area.

Results, Recovery, and Aftercare

Since the incisions are small, they do not require sutures and will naturally heal over time. Patients may experience some tenderness, swelling, or bruising after treatment, but these will also resolve on their own. Some results can be seen in the days following the treatment, but optimal outcomes typically take about one to two weeks.

During the treatment, local anesthetic is used throughout the treatment area to ensure maximum comfort. Patients may experience some soreness during recovery, but it’s rarely considered painful.

As a non-invasive treatment, risks with Avéli are minimal, but bruising or swelling are possible risks.

Each cellulite dimple that is treated is permanently corrected; however, this procedure will not prevent future cellulite from forming.

As a non-invasive, non-medical, and non-surgical procedure, BroadBand Light comes with very little risk and is generally considered one of the safest and most effective skin treatments available. Cosmetic specialists at Michael Horn Plastic Surgery & Med Spa are fully qualified to deliver precision skin treatment with the highest-quality BBL technology and equipment, ensuring long-lasting and impeccable results with every visit.
